David faces Goliath in Carlsberg cup

Mzuzu based side Fish Eagles arrived in Balaka on Tuesday where they are expected to play Be Forward Wanderers in round 32 of the Carlsberg Cup today.

Eagles coach Christopher Nyambose said they are in the south not as tourists but with the aim to beat the giants.

“My boys are ready to beat Wanderers, we are not afraid of names. Football is a game in which you cannot predict the results,” he said.

He added that the club has a good and talented squad that want to leave a mark.

Team Manager for Mighty Be Forward Wanderers Steve Madeira told the local media that they are confident of winning since the Nomads are in form and they do not see the reason why they should panic with a lower division side.

To cause an upset, Fish Eagles will rely on the likes of Blessings Chimbadza, Jimmy Msiska and Gift Nyando.

Wanderers are leading the log table in the Super League while Fish Eagles are on position 10 in the Simama Northern Region Football League.
