Zambians vow to deal with Malawians

Zambian politicians have warned Malawians and Mozambicans that they risk being persecuted if they enter Zambia.

Zambian opposition party leader Miles Sampa issued the warning after reports that there that there are Malawians and Mozambicans who have registered to vote in the country’s presidential elections.

Sampa said people from Malawi and Mozambique who registered as voters in the country should not risk their lives by participating in this year’s elections.

“Let me warn those people in Malawi and Mozambique who have registered to come and vote in Zambia that we will deal with you. We are going to be there and we are going to effect citizen’s arrest. We are going to guard our borders so that no Malawian or those from Mozambique will be allowed to enter and vote in Zambia,” Sampa said

Zambia goes to the polls on August 11 this year.

  17. This is Mile Sampa, an amateur in Zambian political cycles, not even worthy to altar such words. We can compare him with Enoch Chihana & his sicky Aford. No matter what he can’t win the Elections, not even worthy to retain his sit if Member of Parliament. There are only 2 influential Parties in Zambia, thus, PF for Edgar Chagwa Lungu & UPND for Hakainde Hachilema. But for definite the current ruling Party, Patriotic Front will carry the day & form the next Government.

  18. This guy is called Mile Sampa & is a silly man. Even without any foreigners sneaking into Zambia to vote illegally he still can’t win the Elections. Here in Malawi we can compare him with Enoch Chihana, he is just a mercenary in the Zambian Political cycles, even that he will retain his seat of an MP is doubtful because he dumped the ruling Party (PF) which put him in power. At the moment there is an infight of the ownership of the party which he is contesting for. Let him go to hell and leave us alone, he is not even worthy to devide Malawi & Zambia. We have lots of Zambians in our neighborhood who are very nice & friendly people, so let him not paint a bad picture to every Zambian just because of his stupid thinking. Come 11th August, Edgar Chagwa Lungu & his Patriotic Front (PF) wil carry the day & firm the next Government.

  36. that’s not true.the only challenge we have here is that the malawians and Mozambique’s are getting votes cards which is against our laws..they should desist from this act.
