Zambians vow to deal with Malawians

Zambian politicians have warned Malawians and Mozambicans that they risk being persecuted if they enter Zambia.

Zambian opposition party leader Miles Sampa issued the warning after reports that there that there are Malawians and Mozambicans who have registered to vote in the country’s presidential elections.

Sampa said people from Malawi and Mozambique who registered as voters in the country should not risk their lives by participating in this year’s elections.

“Let me warn those people in Malawi and Mozambique who have registered to come and vote in Zambia that we will deal with you. We are going to be there and we are going to effect citizen’s arrest. We are going to guard our borders so that no Malawian or those from Mozambique will be allowed to enter and vote in Zambia,” Sampa said

Zambia goes to the polls on August 11 this year.
