Teenager found hanging from tree

A 16 year-old boy was on Wednesday found hanging from a mango tree in Thyolo district.

The boy has been identified as Chitani Mtambalika.

hangingPolice said the teenager’s mother left him in their house with his two young brothers on Tuesday and went to a nearby church.

But when the woman came back from the church service she only found the two young brothers in the house.

Chitani did not come back home that day and on Wednesday the woman began looking for her son.

“He was found dead while hanging in a nearby mango tree,” Police said.

Meanwhile investigations are underway to establish what happened to the boy.

The deceased hailed from Chafa village, Traditional Authority Changata village in Thyolo district.
