Nomads in for Chipuwa’s replacement

Malawi super league side, Mighty Wanderers coach Elia Kananji has said his team will bring in a new goalkeeper to replace former goalkeeper Richard Chipuwa who is in Mozambique.

Kananji said they will go into the market in search of a new goalkeeper to replace Chipuwa before the start of the new season.

“We will go into the market in search of a new goalkeeper, you know Chipuwa left the club so we have to find his replacement,” he said in an interview with Malawi24.

When asked if they are targeting a particular goalkeeper,  Kananji said goalkeepers are everywhere and he added that that the Nomads will bring in a new goalkeeper from a lower division team or from another Super League side before the start of the season.

“Goalkeepers are anywhere, I will bring a new goalkeeper whether from another Super League side or a lower division team, but we will try to bring in a new goalkeeper,” said the Nomads mentor.

Speaking about the Nomads training which started Tuesday at Kamuzu Stadium, the former Big Bullets coach said that his players are in good shape and he will be hoping to bring in more new players to beef up his squad for the new season which is expected to start in April.
