…says whether they like it or not, they will clear him

The transfer for Malawi national football team goalkeeper, Richard Chipuwa, from Mighty Wanderers FC to Chingale FC of Mozambique has turned into a bout of words.

Chipuwa who went to Mozambique last week for trials says he has signed a one year deal with Chingale in the Portuguese country.

The Nomads however insist that they will not clear Chipuwa to start playing for his new side because he did not inform them about his trials.

“Let me be clear, he won’t get any clearance from us if he thinks he is clever,” said Nomads general secretary, Mike Butao.

But in an interview with Malawi24, Chipuwa challenged that he will get his clearance from the Lali Lubani side.

“I will come and get the clearance, this is my future and what you should know is I came here on my own therefore they are going to clear me,” said Chipuwa.

The goalie has also slammed claims by Wanderers that he did not inform them about his trials in Mozambique.

  37. Even if Chipuwa succumbed to the pressure and returned to Wanderers, he can not serve the club well. The most honorable thing to do is to let him go but should honour the contractual obligations

  38. Wanderers will just bring instability into their camp if they will be tusling with chipuwa. Look somebody has already madeup his mind and signed for that club there i Moz, what’s the reason of not let him go! Celtic in south africa has just terminated Gaba’s contract to bring sanity and cohension in the club, why malawi clubs don’t emmulate what is going around the football scales! If a proffessional club like celtic cant hestate to d what it has done, why not an unproffessional club like wanderers not! Him just capitalised on the weak constitution the club has! Instead just check where him found to be weak point. Even a hyena goes for where the kraal is weak to break into. Thus this helps the owner to tighten the khola.   41. I am a Bullets supporter but I am of the view that Chipuwa shoulda followed the right procedure. It seems now it’s tendency by many Malawian players to dupe their home teams to pry trade in foreign lands without the wilful consent of the team. This is detrimental to the game of football. These prayers are always sentimental,cheecky and fathom to nobody’s whims but they forget that one day they would want to return to their clubs. These players hast because of money and they end up losing their grip and zest. Please Flames Republic players follow the right procedure when securing a proffessional deal. Don’t forget; TREAT WELL THE PEOPLE ON YOUR WAY UP BECAUSE YOU GONNA NEED THEM ON YOUR WAY DOWN!!!!!
