Karonga United and TN Stars will this afternoon slug it out in the quarterfinals of the Airtel Top 8 at Kasungu stadium.
Coach for TN Stars Meke Mwase said they are ready for the knockout battle.
“We have previously met Karonga in other cups but for Airtel Top 8 we are both strangers.
“All our players are fit to fight. Even though we are not doing well in the Super League, Top 8 is a different game all together, said Mwase.
He added that his side will use the home ground advantage to beat Karonga United.
In a separate interview, Chairperson for Karonga Deacon Chipanga Banda said his players want to use the game to show their maturity.
The 2019 Airtel Top 8 will also be launched today with the game between Mighty Be Forward Wanderers and Silver Strikers at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre being the biggest of the quarterfinal round.
