Wanderers players try to lure Kangunje to Nomads

Two Mighty Be Forward Wanderers players are persuading Civo United star Nelson Kangunje to Join the Lali Lubani side, Malawi24 can reveal.

The two, Patrick Gunde and Jabulani Linje, played with Kangunje at the Lilongwe based side and they said they have had a conversation with the Flames midfielder to join them at Wanderers.

“We are like one blood we enjoy playing together, it can be more enjoyable to play again at the blue camp,” Linje said.

Linje did not however reveal Kangunje’s response but he said the two are still trying to convince the Civo player that Nomads is the best club for him.

Kangunje’s performances at Civo United last season made him one of the country’s best players and led to interest from the two Blantyre giants, Mighty wanderers and Nyasa Bullets.

The two clubs want to beef up their midfields due to different reasons: Big Bullets want to replace the retired James Chilapondwa while Wanders want to have more midfield players after injuries affected their players last season.
