Malawi super league side Epac F.C head coach Abbas Makawa has sent a strong warning to Dedza Young Soccer ahead of the relegation decider between the two sides which is slated for this coming Saturday at Civo Stadium.
Makawa sent the warning in a post-match interview after his side, Epac, beat Mafco 4-3 at Civo stadium.
Makawa said Dedza Young Soccer beat them in the first round and it is now payback time as Epac will be playing at their own backyard at the Civo Stadium.
“It is now Epac’s time to reverse what Dedza did to us in the first round of the season. We got beaten at their backyard, the Dedza stadium, but this time we will register a win to ensure our survival in the elite league,” Makawa said.
The relegation showdown will be a tough game for the host as they need maximum points when the two central region sides clash whereas a draw will be enough for Dedza Young Soccer as they need only a point to seal their survival in Malawi’s top flagship league.
Epac are ranked 13th on the log table with 27 points from 27 matches whereas Dedza are on position 12 with 29 points from 27 matches and they both have a game to wind up their season.
