Heavily armed robbers invaded Goal Malawi offices in Nsanje district on Wednesday night and went away with 3 million Kwacha cash and some office equipment.
The equipment taken away include computers worth millions of Kwacha.
According to an inside source from within Goal Malawi offices who opted for anonymity, the thugs who were equipped with rifles and machetes managed to break the offices with metal bars after they had tied the security guards who were on duty that time.
The source added that police arrived at the scene of the incident on Thursday morning despite being informed about the issue on the same night of the robbery.
“Robbers arrived at the offices at around 11 p.m. and gone away at around 1 a.m. after they cooked and ate different foods from the campus.”
“Police were informed about half an hour after the robbers had gone but they just came this morning,” explained the source.
We are yet to confirm with police for more details about the incident.
