Malawi’s gospel music wonder boys, Faith Mussa and Patience Namadingo, will light up Bingu International Conference Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe as they will be supporting South Africa’s award winning gospel artist Sipho Makhabane later this month.
Makhabane is on 26th August set to perform in Malawi, a country where he commands a great audience with his music transforming many souls through it’s touching messages. Some Malawian gospel musicians imitate his style besides other South African gospel flavours.
However, Mussa and Namadingo who make up the golden generation of Malawi gospel are free from South African influence in their music. With their works fulfilling their purpose which is to preach the gospel, they are considered to be the country’s finest.
Mussa is a master of vocals which is complemented by his magic on the guitar. His counterpart, Namadingo also boasts about the best of voice despite being a piano wizard. The two only worked together in Malawi’s all-star Airtel project that united veterans and rookies in 2014.
The duo has never disappointed the audience when it comes to live performance. It is argued that there is a hardly identifiable thin line between their recorded works and live delivery.
Meanwhile, admission tickets are being sold in the country’s three cities of Blantyre, Lilongwe, and Zomba for the show which will start at exactly 6 PM.
