Devotion: Check the Foundation

1 Corinthians 3:11 “For no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”

One of the reasons for the problems inherent in some people’s lives is the absence of a deep and firm foundation; and that is the Word of God. Everything we do should have the Word of God as the foundation.

Check the foundation of whatever you do or whatever you want to do. Is it based on the Word.

Does it really have solid foundation? The great buildings we see all over the world, were not built in a hurry or carelessly. The builders took time and laid very deep and strong foundations. However the simple buildings have very shallow and not strong foundations.

The foundation determines how successful you will be in whatever they do in life. There shoul be right foundation for the structure you want to build. It is applicable to whatever you want to build in life. Is your career, ministry, business, finances, family, relationships and so on built on solid foundation?

Always build on proper foundation. Mat 7:24-25 “Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine, and does them, will be compared to a wise man, who built his house on a rock. And the rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.”

Anything without godly foundations is easily destroyed. All ungodly foundations are sand(Mat 7:26). Dont try to build on ungodly foundations, it will not stand for long.Psa 11:3 KJV “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” The Word prohibits us from building on ungodly foundations. After destroying the foundations of Jericho, God warned that nobody should raise the walls again from same ungodly foundations.Joshua 6:26 “Cursed be the man before the LORD, who rises up and builds this city Jericho. With the loss of his firstborn shall he lay its foundation, and with the loss of his youngest son shall he set up its gates.”

Reject any ungodly foundations. Dont build anything on ungodly or rejected foundations.You will spend much , but it will not last long.

Confession
The Word is my solid foundation an therefore I stand on the Word. My foundation can never be broken and I build a strong house on this Foundation. Everything I do has strong foundations. In Jesus Name. Amen.
