Simtech eyeing ICT development in Malawi

In order to assist government in information and communications technology (ICT), Simtech is training youths in Karonga at a fair price.

Speaking in an interview with Malawi24 in amphitheater Karonga Museum where training is in progress, Director for Simtech, Dan Moffat Matope assured Malawians that the company will reach all corners of the country.

“My mission is to reach everyone and am satisfied Even though we registered last year, but we have been able to reach Mangochi, Balaka, Chikwawa and last time we were in Mzuzu.”

“We provide computer repairing and computer knowledge courses to everyone at a very fair price after realizing that it is not all of us who can be selected to Unima or afford private tertiary education. I therefore encourage all NGOs, government and individuals to believe in these young people that have been trained by Simtech because Simtech provides real knowledge computer repairing and computer knowledge and they will never disappoint them,” said Matope.

Matope further advised youths to believe in themselves and make use of opportunities like Simtech to make a living on their own as entrepreneurs.

One of the students Brave Ndovie thanked Simtech for the training saying that after finishing the training he will be able to be independent.

“I thank Simtech for the training they have managed to reach us here in Karonga. By the end of this training I will be able to be self employed because I know how to operate computer and to repair,” said Ndovie. He advised youths who are stranded that they should do something that will help them make money.

Simtech provides computer training and awards certificate of attendance and starter pack that can help people start their computer repairing shops.

The starter pack includes operating system, application software, digital multimeter, a set of screw drivers and many other equipment.
