Youth football followers elected regional committees during elections held in all three regions on Saturday.
The elections took place at William Koyi in Mzuzu, Chiwembe Mpira house in Blantyre and Kamuzu Institute of Sports in Lilongwe.
In Mzuzu, Angel Gondwe was elected as Chairperson after winning with 17 votes against 1 vote for Innocent Chikondi. In Southern Region, Muhammed Ajusa won as Chairperson with 7 votes against Paul Lawrence who got 5 while in Central Region Rodrick Longwe won the chairmanship position.
Speaking after the win, Gondwe said he will make sure to develop youth football to a higher level so that teams from the region should be able to win trophies.
Longwe in Lilongwe said his first duty is to look for sponsorship at regional level that will help to identify talent of the youth.

The elected members will serve the positions for a period of four years and next elections will be conducted in 2025.
