Mzuzu based Fish Eagles are set to lose five key players following the team’s performances in the Carlsberg Cup.
The Simama League side reached Round of 32 of the competition where they were booted out by Mighty Be Forward Wanderers on post-match penalties.
Team Patron Yosefe Misinde said Super League teams are enquiring about the club’s players.
“We started receiving enquires before the end of the game against Wanderers from a number of Super League teams including Mighty Be Forward Wanderers.
“At the moment we cannot talk more since we are still talking to them about this, but I just want to confirm that at least four players have been approached,” said Misinde.
He however said the players will only leave at the end of the season since the club cannot release players right now because the Northern Region Football League is still underway.
Malawi24 understands that Wanderers want goalkeeper Donex Mwakisinga while Brian Phiri, Steve Msiska, Christopher Msowoya and Kabila Washali might join other Super League teams.
In the Simama League, Fish Eagles are on position 9 on the log table.
