Luso TV’s Bus Ipite Soccer fiesta preparations almost done

The much anticipated Luso TV’s Bus Ipite Soccer Fiesta preparations are at a very advanced stage, with the 36 seater Civilian Coaster set to arrive in the country next week.

According to the television’ Station Manager Dickson Juma, all is set for Be Forward Wanderers and Nyasa Big Bullets to battle it out for the ultimate prize on 26 December before the second leg at Civo Stadium on 2nd January 2017.

In an exclusive interview with Malawi24, Juma said the K1 million appearance fee has already been finalized.

“So far, the preparations are going according to plans. The bus is expected to arrive into this country on Wednesday or Thursday next week from Dar-All-Salam. We have also deposited K2 million appearance fee into Football Association of Malawi (FAM) ,” he said.

He also revealed the decision behind taking the game from the newly Bingu National Stadium to Civo Stadium.

“Initially, we wanted to host the second leg at Bingu National Stadium but due to the delay in opening the facility, we have decided to take the final leg at Civo Stadium though it won’t be enough to accommodate the mammoth crowd that will come to witness the showdown,” he added.

On the decision to have the tournament played at a time when Super League season is at a climax stage, Juma said:

“We consulted FAM who came up with the dates which means the association knows that by that time, teams will be done with Super League fixtures hence no problems about the timing,” he explained.
