Devotion: Have a good ending

Ecclesiastics 7:8 “Better is the end of a thing than its beginning.”

To start a thing is not very difficult but to maintain and finish it. Some people get born again but they backslide along the way, some started businesses but are no longer there.

There are people who had very brilliant ideas and started doing something good but got mixed up along the way and are no longer pursuing the idea.

However despite all this, it is the will of the Father that whatever we start, we should finish it.

Phi 1:6 “being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.”

Many people give up because in the beginning of things, they dont look promising. Things may not work as anticipated. You may still look small after sometime and may give up on big dreams.

Actually in the Kingdom, we start small. However God has programmed us to grow. A seed may look small outside but has all the programme for its growth. You are that seed. Therefore how long it may take, dont give up. Know that you are heading for growth.

Mark 4:30-32 He said, “How will we liken God’s Kingdom? Or with what parable will we illustrate it? It’s like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, though it is less than all the seeds that are on the earth, yet when it is sown, grows up, and becomes greater than all the herbs, and puts out great branches, so that the birds of the sky can lodge under its shadow.”

Whatever good you start and were led by the Word of God, dont give up.

You may start as a new born again with lots of errors along the way; Dont give up in your Christian life, you are heading towards perfection through the Word.

It may be some business with lots of issues and that hasnt grown for sometime, dont give up. You may be a preacher working hard for the growth of the work of God, dont give up. You will soon see the growth. Continue meditating on the Word, continue in prayer, get new knowledge and work hard, dont give up. You will reap in no time at all.

Some of your colleagues may appear to have gone ahead of you, dont be jealous of them. Just work on your project.

Just ensure that you should not look down on yourself nor allow anybody to look down on you (1 Timothy 4:12).

Know one thing that even though you look small, but in the end you are becoming big. If you have this mentality in you, you cant give up.

Job 8:7 “Though your beginning was small, yet your latter end would greatly increase.”

My end is great. I have been programmed for growth even though I may not look such for now. I never give up on my vision, because I am already destined to affect many in Jesus Name. Amen.
