A Malawian dancehall artist Gemini Major has been featured in DJ Waxxy’s killer song titled International alongside big names in African music.
International is currently enjoying airplay on Africa’s major music platform Channel O. Its visuals have also been subject to massive views on YouTube, making it a big hit.
The Malawian flag carrier, who is currently signed to Cassper Nyovest’s Family Tree Record Label in South Africa, has had an amazing delivery giving other giants in the song a good run for their money.
The only thing he has not downplayed in his lyrics, his Malawian identity through the use of Chichewa language and mentioning of the warm heart of Africa.
The track also involves the continent’s music favourites; 2baba formerly known as 2 Face from Nigeria, and Buffalo Souljah from Zimbabwe. All artists in the international collaboration have embraced a dancehall touch, leading to an inseparable unity.
Malawians have given a positive response to Gemini’s delivery in International. They have applauded him for his indomitable verse and link to the instrumental.
Among the people that have been impressed with Gemini is local dancehall icon Malinga Mafia.
Malinga could not help but share the link to the song’s YouTube visuals on his Facebook page. He also called on all Malawians to check out the video and appreciate the Malawian talent.
The message of the song is the artists’ international level due to skill. They are saying skills have made them claimants to the said status on top of which it brings them money.
