Workers in Malawi have called on government to address challenges faced by the labourers as one way of inspiring them to work hard and help develop the country.
Speaking during the commemoration of Labour’s Day on Sunday at Masintha ground in Lilongwe, President of communication workers union of Malawi Deus Sandram said government should strive to create better working conditions.
“Government should make sure that everyone who is employed is happily rewarded and this gives motivation by the end of the day you will find that people are working hard and the country can benefit a lot,” said Sandram
Sandram advised government to give space for more job creation arguing that this can help in reducing crime that comes due to economic hardships.
