Mighty Wanderers head coach Jack Chamangwana has refused to comment on the reports linking the club with a move for Nyasa Big Bullets goalkeeper Owen Chaima.
The Nomads are under enormous pressure to find a replacement for goalkeeper Richard Chipuwa who has moved to Mozambique.
Currently, Wanderers have one notable goalkeeper in Bester Phiri, but he has been deemed too lightweight to be the first choice goalkeeper hence the Blantyre giants have reportedly made Chaima their primary target to replace Chipuwa.
But when asked, Chamangwana refused to comment much saying he knows nothing about the move.
“I don’t know anything about that,” he said.
Meanwhile, Chamangwana revealed that the team has identified a goalkeeper but he decided to keep his cards close to his chest by refusing to mention the goalkeeper.
“I cannot disclose the name as for now,” he told Malawi24. “I will tell you once we sign a player.”
