Up-and-coming rapper MPJ has all the reasons in the world to smile.
More to it could not just be the fact that his latest single Chimove is enjoying massive airplay, but also that the gospel hip hop genre is seemingly making headway into Malawi music spheres.
In the song, the Script Culture member talks about how Christians should view themselves on their journey to heaven.
In an interview with Malawi24 MPJ real name Jameson Chifundo Makande said the single is currently in Yoneco FM Radio’s top ten music chart-something which the Blantyre based artist believes swings a motivation in his nerves.
At the moment, he said, plans for Chimove’s video are in the offing.
In 2015, the artist released a single titled Hope and he also featured in the Blantyre gospel cypher which won a True Malawian Art award sponsored by Lusu Manda.
The artist is also recognised by a six member group called the Script Culture which does gospel Hip hop, Afro, Jazz and Soul music.
MPJ is really doing it ,I mean his music is good…keep on giving us good stuff
