Education experts in the country have urged the Malawi National Examinations Board (Maneb) to release results of the 2022 Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examination.
The demand has been made following Maneb’s failure to release 2022 MSCE examination results when the public was assured by the board that the 2022 MSCE examinations results, will be released before end of October, 2022.
Reacting to the delay in releasing the 2022 MSCE examinations results, several education experts including Limbani Nsapato said the examination board needs to immediately release the results.
Nsapato told the local media that further delay will surely affect 2022 candidates who may need to sit for the exams again after failing to get better results, hence his demand for the quickest releasing of the results.
‘‘I would like to urge MANEB to release the results because delays will also inconvenience students who may need to repeat and rewrite the exams in case of not having good grades,” said Nsapato.
Concurrently, Mzuzu University educationist, Dr. Foster Lungu says it is sad that Maneb is yet to release the 2022 results and that for years the board has been missing its targeted time frame for releasing results.
Lungu said the possible and lasting solution for the challenge which has been experienced for years, could be by digitizing the Maneb systems without compromising its integrity of results by introducing a test bank.
Meanwhile, the Malawi National Examination Board through its Public Relations Officer Mayamiko Chiwaya has said the board is in the final stages to release the 2022 MSCE examination results.
