A sarcastic tweet by world’s richest billionaire and new owner of Twitter, Elon Musk, that he will be buying Coca-Cola to put its infamous ingredient has finally set the record as the world’s third most liked tweets of all time.
The tweet has generated over 4 million likes within 20 hours of being tweeted. Chadwick Boseman’s death announcement remains the most liked and tweeted post with over 2 million retweets and 7.2 million likes. He is set to become the second most liked tweet in few hours. He will beat President Barack Obama whose 2017 tweet has 4.1 million likes and 1.4 million retweets.
“Next I’m buying Coca-Cola to put the cocaine back in”, tweeted Musk.
Cocaine remained a key ingredient of Coca-Cola for several years since its launch in 1886. In 1929, the company ‘officially’ ceased using cocaine. It started using coca leaf extracts without the drug.
Musk once smoked marijuana during a live broadcast.

Musk bought Twitter for US$44 billion (44 trillion Malawi Kwacha). The money he is spending acquiring the social media platform can fund Malawi’s national budget for more than 15 years. Unsurprisingly, other tweeps urged Musk to buy Malawi, one of the poorest countries in the world and with the highest cases of corruption.
