Barely three days after winning the inaugural Fisd challenge cup, Be Forward Wanderers players have taken to Facebook in celebrating their glory.
Several Wanderers players have been posting pictures of themselves and some Nomads fans with the Fisd challenge cup trophy on Facebook.
Genk Nakamura, veteran defender Foster Namwera, Isaac chair Kaliati and Stanley Sanudi were some of the Nomads notable players who stormed the social media by posting their pictures on their Facebook walls in celebrating the cup.
Nomads right back Sanudi posted a picture of himself kissing the Fisd challenge cup trophy while on the Nomads bus with a status written God win.
Japanese player Nakamura also posted his excitement for winning the cup on his Facebook account.
Nakamura said that words could not describe how he was feeling for winning the Nomads’ second trophy this season.
“Second title this season. Amazing, Words cannot describe how I’m feeling at this moment,” posted the player on his Facebook.
Nakamura added by thanking the Nomads supporters who always support their team all season long.
“Thank you all who have been supporting us,” he added.
The Nomads were crowned champions after beating KB 4-3 on post-match penalties. The game ended 0-0 in regulation time.
Veteran goalkeeper Valence Kamzere was the hero of the day when he saved two penalties to guide his side to a cup double having also won the Carlsberg Cup in September.
Nomads converted their spot kicks through Alfred Manyozo Jnr, Joseph Kamwendo, Peter Wadabwa and Amos Bello whereas Leman Nthala saved Stanley Sanudi’s kick.
Manase Chiyesa, Mustafa Salimu and Pempho Kamsichiri scored for KB but Gift M’bwana and Nthala’s penalties were saved by in-form Kamzere.
