Mutharika gets an award from bogus organisation

Malawi President Peter Mutharika needs to hold his celebrations on the award from the International Royal Academy, as fresh revelations show that the organisation does not fall under the United Nations (UN) as it is being claimed.

The International Royal Academy had a few weeks ago, awarded President Peter Mutharika with an Honorary Doctorate Degree of Philosophy for his dedication, commitment and distinct service to the Malawi nation through his leadership.

Flying adverts on state owned Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) radio stations make claims that Mutharika who has been missing from the public domain ever since he went to the United States of America (USA) for the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) last month received an award from the said organisation.

But a quick internet search of the International Royal Academy spills the beans as it is not fall under the UN and that it is only an independent organisation as UN Nobel prize committee.

As if this is not enough, it tweaks the United Nations Children Fund ( UNICEF) to UNISEF.

The organisation’s website also has Google ads.

Malawi24 as well understands that United Nations linked website or organisations do not let Google ads to fly on their online pages.
