Tanzanian bongo flavour star Diamond Platinumz has expressed enthusiasm over his forthcoming performance at the Sand Music Festival in Salima. The singer will be performing at Livingstonia Beach in the Lakeshore district on 29th October.

He is the headliner at the summer event replacing Jamaican reggae icon Sizzla Kalonje who was previously announced to grace the phenomenon.

In a Facebook post made on Sunday evening, Platinumz expressed his happiness to perform in Malawi, one of the countries he used to read about in the novels and watch in the movies.

“On the 29th October 2016 your Platnumz will be rocking your Heart live at Livingstonia Beach, performing in the countries you used to read in the Novel and watch on the movies,” reads part of the post.

The Tanzanian is aplauded for his mania in producing music that is worth a dance. With a number of hits under his name, he becomes the ideal artist to send fans into frenzy at Livingstonia Beach.

The three day summer festival will keep fun seekers refreshed from 28th October to 30th. By virtue of being among Malawi’s major summer events, it promises limitless fun. The festival will also attract live performances from Malawian artists. During the previous event, Jamaican musician Busy Signal left the attendees hungry for more with his mesmerising performance.

It was his first appearance in the warm heart of Africa. Some of Diamond Platunumz’ songs expected to characterise the summer festival include, number one, nanana, make me sing, Kidogo, Mdogomdogo and Moyo wangu.

Doing music in his native Swahili language has not in any way drawn him back in overcoming boarder barriers; his among Africa’s most popular musicians.
