Hunt for albino body parts continues in Malawi : Thugs exhume bones

Unknown people have removed bones from the grave of a person with albinism who died in 2009 in Ntcheu district, Malawi24 can report.

According to Police in the district, the incident happened at Lazaro village, Traditional Authority Mankhambira in the district.

Police said that village headman Lazaro was told by his subordinate on 1st August this year that the pillar of the grave belonging to Rabson Kabondo, 37, who was a person with albino had been damaged.

Albinos Malawi“The chief went to the graveyard and discovered that unknown people had removed the bones from the graveyard,” said police.

The development comes as people with albinism in the country continue to live in fear as some elements are hunting them in order to hack, kill or abduct them.

Recently in Chitipa thugs chopped off the hand of a 51 year-old woman with albinism and police arrested a man in relation to the brutal act.

Some quarters of the society have however asked government to introduce death penalty to people who are involved in albino attacks when caught but government said that thugs convicted of killing people with albinism will just be sent to life imprisonment.

Malawi Electoral Commission recently warned all aspiring 2019 elections candidates in the country that are involved in this evil act that they wil not be allowed to contest in the upcoming elections.

    albino means animal or human being born without natural colouring matter in the skin and hair,this doesnt mean that this kind of people are not beings lets arrest this evil and myth things altenativly kill those animals which are livin with albinsm
