Sex drive: Man rapes daughter while wife was in hospital

Police in Salima district have arrested a 38 year-old man who raped his 8 year-old daughter while his wife was admitted to hospital, Malawi24 can report.

According to Salima Police Public Relations Officer Gift Chitowe, the father, Maston, raped the girl twice last week in the family’s house. Chitowe said the issue came to light after the mother of the child was discharged from Salima District Hospital where she was undergoing malaria treatment.

When she got home, the woman was surprised to see her daughter having difficulties in walking.

Rape“The mother upon asking the girl she revealed that her father has been forcing her to have sex with him,” said Chitowe.

The young girl further disclosed that she failed to narrate the incident to anybody because the abusive father threatened to kill her once she told people about the rape.

Currently the girl is also having difficulties in passing urine.

The suspect will appear in court soon to answer the charge of incest.

The rapist hails from Salima district.
