Chief Chamba said people who are being involved in this malpractice are tarnishing the image of the district hence they need to be dealt with according.

“This is a very worrisome development although my area has not registered any case of such acts. It seem people’s concentration has been put on cash that’s why they have been involved in a business of fellow human beings.

“This is not the right way to do it, people should find other ways of making money than murdering these innocent people born with albinism,” said chief Chamba.

He therefore said traditional leaders in the district will try their best to strengthen child care protection with an aim of putting to rest the barbaric acts. The chief then appealed to the general public to join hands in ending the practice. Some people believe that bones of people born with albinism have some magical powers for a person to get rich.
