Lilongwe first grade magistrate court has sentenced Julius Dalasoni, 42, to 14 years imprisonment for beating his wife.
Dalasoni found his wife, Selina Julias, 34, with another man in his house at Biwi in the capital city of Lilongwe.
After he caught the wife, Dalasoni severely beat her to the extent that she was failing to do anything.
In court, Lilongwe first grade magistrate sentenced Dalasoni to 14 years imprisonment with hard labour for committing an act intended to cause grievous harm, contrary to section 23 (A) of penal code.
The convict hails from Zidana village, Traditional Authority Phambala in Ntcheu.
