54 year-old man rapes three year-old girl in Mzimba

A 54 year-old Malawian man identified as Lingstone Chinsapo has been arrested by Malawi Police in the northern region district of Mzimba on suspicion that he sexually assaulted  a three year-old girl.

Information gathered by Malawi24 indicates that the defiled girl lives with her grandmother as her parents are based in South Africa.

“But on this fateful day, the grandmother left the girl alone at home and after Chinsapo noted about this, he went and kidnapped the girl into his house where he forced himself on her,” said the source.

crime (2)When the grandmother came back from where she went, she found the girl having some difficulties to walk and to sit down.

This made her astonished such that she called her pastor to pray for her granddaughter but the man of God realized that the girl was defiled.

“He told the women who were present to undress the girl. After they did that they found that her private parts were swelling,” he added.

After pressing her hard, the girl revealed that Chinsapo had raped her. The women then reported the matter to police who arrested the rapist.

Police publicist for the district constable Lingstone Kanjauso said the man will appear in court soon to answer defilement charges in accordance with section 138 of the penal code, an offence which attracts a maximum penalty of life imprisonment.
