Malawi Blantyre based side Mighty Wanderers executive committee has resolved to re-call supporters committee general secretary Paul Mphepo and treasurer Chipiliro Chilambe from suspension.
The duo were suspended last month after being accused of stealing millions kwachas during the Nomads’s derby defeat to Bullets at Kamuzu Stadium.
The match realized K16 million despite attracting thousands of soccer loving fans.
Chilambe was seen carrying a box which he claimed that in contained stationery and upon summoned by the club, he was suspended along side Bullet’s Mabvuto Chiwambo and Bruce Tambwali.
But according to information sourced by Malawi24, the duo will resume their duties following the club’s failure to find a substantial evidence surrounding the whole saga.
It is has been reported that the Nomads executive is blaming the system which was used in mining the gates.
And when asked on how far they have gone with investigations into the matter, Super League of Malawi (Sulom) through general secretary Williams Banda refused to shed more light saying the issue is still in the hands of Fiscal Police.
“Can’t say much because the whole issue is in the hands of the Fiscal Police,” he said.
During the similar fixture, in which Wanderers was the home team, K27 million was realized.
Bullets players had to boycott their usual training in order to force the team’s executive to fire Chiwambo ,Tambwali and general secretary Titha Mandiza but it was only the supporters executive committee members who faced the chop.
