The Malawi National Women football team captain is in a good form for her second-tier league side SV Neulengbach having scored a brace last Sunday in a 6-3 victory over FC Altera.
She is being used as a central defender for the reserve side as she awaits to be introduced for Neulengbach main team. She made it into the team of the week alongside her team-mate Yvonne Weilharter.
She made her debut on April when she was signed from Skippers and went on to score the second goal for her new side before scoring a brace in a 19-1 hammering of W Neustadt on 9th September this year.
Commenting on her current form, she said her confidence is the reason why she is performing superbly.
“After making my a debut with a win, we lost couple of matches and we were really unhappy with some mistakes and other things. We sorted those mistakes and we started winning again comfortably which has been fantastic for us and being recognized in the team of the week is really encouraging,” she said.
On Women Football team in Malawi, the former Skippers defender said it was necessary for the team to regroup again after years of inactive.
“We need to be serious. There is no way a team can get a rank when it is dormant. We have the talent in Malawi,” she said.
The Malawi women team is in Tanzania for a friendly game on Saturday.
