Do or die in week 23: Super League preview

Super League of Malawi (Sulom) has once again called on Super League teams to battle it out for all the 3 maximum points in Malawi’s elite league.

The defending champions Big Bullets will be in a titanic battle for vital points when they will be facing Silver Strikers at Kamuzu stadium on Saturday.

A win for Big Bullets will push third placed Silver Strikers out of the race for this season’s Super League championship, whereas a win for Silver will put them back into contention for the Super League championship because they will reduce the gap with Big Bullets points to within 6 points.

Bullets will be going into this game without their suspended duo Sankhani Mkandawire and Jaffali Chande .

Big Bullets technical director Billy Tewesa said his side will take the match too seriously and they will fight tooth and nail to register yet another crucial win that will help them to edge closer to the super league championship.

On the other hand, Silver strikers have promised all their fans that they will come hard on Big Bullets knowing that a win will push them closer to the league leaders.

Come Sunday, there will be another mouthwatering fixture in Malawi’s elite league when Mzuni FC host Moyale Barracks in a Mzuzu derby match that will be played at the Mzuzu Stadium.

Mzuni FC coach Oscar Kaunda has said that it will be a difficult game on for both Mzuni and Moyale Barracks but he will fight for a win to increase his side’s chances of surviving in the league.

On the same day, Silver Strikers will be hosted by Peter Mponda’s Fisd Wizards who are anchoring the Super League log table.

It will be an interesting match at Kalulu stadium as both Silver and Fisd play similar type of football.
