One of the leading commercial Banks in the country, National Bank of Malawi, along the weekend met customers of their bank from the Eastern Region who owns Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
The meeting which took place at Hippo view Motel, was organized with the aim of helping the small entrepreneurs with various ways on how they can use their money when the country is going through economic crisis.
‘’With high inflation and interest rate it has become hard for business to survive and sustain their business which often do not have resilience to stand against the hard economic situation,’’ said the head of personal and business banking , Oswin Kasunda.
Kasunda also asked SMEs in the country to capitalize on good management skills and ensure that their business and personal transaction are doing well to provide more returns.
He added that the bank will continue to provide advisory services for businesses because this is the only way for their customers who have small businesses to do well.
Business development manager at National Bank, Wezi Mwazani said the bank will continue to scale up its efforts by setting deliberate polices to accommodate SMEs to help them effectively.
Mwazani then advised the SMEs to develop business plans.
