Three Malawians have died after a bus they boarded on their way to South Africa was involved in an accident in Zimbabwe.
Confirming the development to Malawi24 was the Mwanza border public relations officer, Pasqually Zulu who said the accident happened on Wednesday.
Zulu told this publication that Chipozani Coaches registration number MC 9689 with 23 passengers on board was involved in an accident near Chamanno/Nyamapanda border around 6/7 pm.
The publicist said the bus was coming from Lilongwe going to South Africa through Dedza border post but the cause of the accident is yet to be established.
He said reports further indicate that three people died on the spot while others are being treated with various degrees of injuries at Kotwaa hospital in Zimbabwe.
Zulu continued to say that all the victims were yet to be identified.
Meanwhile, a recovery bus registration number MC 5408 from the same company (Chipozani) have crossed Mwanza border around 10am to the accident scene.
