Senior Chief Somba of Blantyre has died aged 81.
A statement from the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development says the chief whose name is George Suwedi Somba died in the early hours of today at Mulambe Mission Hospital.
He will be buried on Friday, 9th November, 2018 at his family home in Group Village Somba 1 in Soche, Blantyre
The late Chief was installed on 26th June 1996 and got promoted as Senior Chief in 2012.
He was born in 1937 and is survived by a wife, 6 children and 30 grandchildren.
