Gospel Music lovers in Mchinji braved the cold and the weather on Sunday only to witness Alex Nkalo’s “Kumwamba Kumve” album launch held at Joe’s Motel.
It was a show that pooled a variety of patronage and defied the odds as the youth, Middle aged and the elderly together with members from the community formed part of the audience.
The Patronage at the Motel was slow at first but eventually the venue was filled with enthusiastic fans who gathered to watch Alex Nkalo dishing out his best.
Dressed in Green attire, walking majestically the 22 year Old got on stage at around 4:30 PM while singing the worship Song, Glorifying God for giving him the long awaited day.
One of the Patrons Linda Muwamba said he was impressed with the performance saying she enjoyed the show.
She said “to say the fact I have enjoyed the show, I doubted when coming here but Alex has proved me wrong by giving out the best performance that everyone has also enjoyed”.
The auction saw the highest bidder getting the “Kumwamba Kumve” at K40, 000.
Speaking after the launch Nkalo said he was happy launching the album amidst rainfall saying that symbolizes blessings in his Career.
“I am very happy that God has blessed us with rainfall during my album launch, this is an indication that my album is also blessed” He said.
Some of the Artist who supported the launch includes Thoko Katimba, Favoured Martha, Maggie Mangani, Madalo Mapira, Ronald Thamakera, Charles Phika, Maxwell Olloto, Worship Quakers, Martha Mituka, Andrew Masiku and Evance Meleka.
