Malawi Super League: Tight race for golden boot award

There is a tight race for the 2016 TNM Super League season golden boot as three players are now leading the pack.

Currently three players have 11 goals each having reached the last round of the country’s elite league.

The trio, Peter Wadabwa of  Be Forward Wanderers, Chiukepo Msowoya of Nyasa Big Bullets, and Richard Mbulu of MAFCO football club are all on position one of top goal scorer’s sheet with eleven goals each.

Msowoya reached 11 goals after scoring two goals in Bullets’ 4-1 win over central region based soldiers Kamuzu Barracks MAFCO forward Richard Mbulu’s aim to be the top goal scorer may not be achieved if he manages to get a move to Portugal’s Sporting Club de Esmortiz who want his services.

Currently Nyasa Big Bullets football club and MAFCO football club have played 17 games and are now holding 31 points while The Lali Lubani boys have only played 15 games and have 24 points.
