In news that Malawi24 has just received, a car belonging to opposition Malawi Congress Party legislator Jessie Kabwila has been gutted in Lilongwe.

Information that we have indicates that the car, a Toyota Fortuner, has met its dead end at Lilongwe Golf Club in the Capital City.

As we took to publishing, it was not clear what had caused the fire with reports indicating it had been a deliberate act by some other players.

It is understood that Kabwila had entered one of the rooms at the club only to find her vehicle in flames a few moments later.

Recently, the vocal female MP has been fighting with her party President Lazarus Chakwera such that she was chased from a rally that the party leader organised.

The ruling Democratic Progressive Party has also been against Kabwila with some of its cadets renowned for setting things on fire accusing her of sponsoring university students demonstrations.
