Malawi’s songstress Capital Gal has within a space of two days become a formidable figure in music commanding a great deal of respect after her recently released single titled Udzandikumbuka makes an impact.
The song which dropped two days ago on 14th June, could not wait any longer before making it into the top 100 chart of urban music on Malawimusic.com.
As of yesterday, the Lilongwe based lady was accommodated on 36th position with over 2000 downloads to her song.
The dawn of today brought along a different version of Capital Gal’s story after her product edged closer to the top ten. Udzandikumbuka has in less than 24 hours rocketed into 14th position making it the biggest mover in the chart as of the mean time.
The receiving end has been very active as their actions have left the Afro Pop hit with over 4000 downloads within a short time. The touching message, wonderful production, and sweet voice makes Udzandikumbuka food for the ear.
It has been a wonderful journey for ladies in the chart with Ritaa retaining pole position for the third week in a roll. Her song, Chapatali, which features Dan Lu secured the top spot for the former E-wallet talent show contestant.
Both ladies; Capital Gal, and Ritaa are from Lilongwe. Their huge impact on the local music scene poses a great challenge to their Blantyre counterparts. Ritaa has over 75, 000 downloads to her song with a likelihood of increasing.
