Limbikani Mzava to miss Zimbabwe match

Limbikani Mzava

Limbikani Mzava ruled out with an injury.

Malawi national football team captain Limbikani Mzava will not feature for the Flames in the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifier away to Zimbabwe on June 5.

The defender sustained an injury with his South African side, Mpumalanga Black Aces.

He was however part of the 27 man squad the Flames had called up in camp ahead of the must win clash in Zimbabwe.

This means coach Ernestrt Mtawali will have to bank on other defenders whom he named in his squad.

Mtawali has Miracle Gabeya, John Lanjesi, Yamikani Fodya, Francis Mlimbika, Stainley Sanudi and Harry Nyirenda as defenders in the squad.

The team lies bottom of Group L with 2 points and their clash with Zimbabwe who seat on top 8 points is a must win. The Warriors beat the Flames at home in the first meeting.
