Chiukepo Msowoya’s first half brace was enough to help Nyasa Big Bullets beat Epac FC 2-0 at Kamuzu stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Big Bullets
Bullets: finally won at home

The result means the People’s Team have registered their first home win of the 2016 TNM Super League season.

Bullets started well as Muhammad Sulumba and Mike Mkwate could have given them a lead just 5 minutes into the match but they all failed to hit the back of the net.

Nine minutes into the first half, Chiukepo Msowoya opened the scoreline for Nyasa Big Bullets after he jumped highest to head in Daliso Sailesi’s cross from the left.

After that goal, Nyasa Big Bullets kept on pressurising the Epac goal as they were in search for more goals in order to put the game out of Epac’s reach.

On the other hand, Epac’s Mude Geoffrey, Lanken Mwale, and Nafe Misasa played some good football but they failed to create clear cut chances as Bullets defenders Yamikani Fodya, John Lanjesi and Bashir Maunde were defending well.

In the last of the first half, Msowoya worked his magic again when he headed in Mac fallen Ngwira’s well driven in corner from the left to make it 2 nil in favour of Bullets.

After the break, Epac coach Audro Makonyola introduced Tinkani Nyirenda and Fabio Kapindi on the places of Mphatso and Nafe Misasa hoping his team will get back into the game.

But it was Nyasa Big Bullets who could have scored first when Mac fallen Ngwira missed from a rebound after Tione Tembo saved Yamikani Fodya’s well driven in free kick.

Epac fc kept on building some momentum as they were in search for goals but they were failing to create clear cut chances despite displaying some brilliant football.

Nyasa Big Bullets responded by bringing in Davie Ng’ambi and Mussa Manyenje on the places of Muhammad Sulumba and Henry Magetsi Kabitchi as he was in search for more goals but that did not happen as Epac defenders led by Willard Dickson defended well to deny Bullets from scoring more goals.

Ten minutes before the close of the second half Mac Fallen Ngwira could have scored Bullets’ third but his shot hit the side netting and the game ended 2 nil in favour of Bullets.

Bullets team manager Rahim Ishmael said he was happy that his team has registered their first win at Kamuzu stadium in this year’s Tnm Super League and thanked the players for the win.
