The National Referees of Association has expressed satisfaction with the new perks which they have agreed with Super League of Malawi (Sulom).
General Secretary for NRA Christ Kalichero made the remarks after meeting Sulom officials to prepare for the new TNM Super League season which is expected to begin this weekend.
Kalichero said they are satisfied with the amount of money that have Sulom has agreed to pay the referees.
According to Kalichero, the Super League of Malawi has agreed to pay K60,000 to every member of the officiating panel for every game they officiate.
He said the new perks were agreed considering the grievances that the referees presented to Sulom.
Kalichero said the referees are committed to ensure that Malawi has a strong league.
“We are ready to work and will be working according to football rules as we have been always doing,” he claimed.
The referees threatened to strike after Sulom failed to assure them that it will raise their allowances.
