Mutharika tells Malawians to fear no evil

President Arthur Peter Mutharika has called on Malawians to have courage and not to fear evil attempts made by different individuals.

Mutharika was speaking during national prayers on Friday at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre organised by Living Waters Church on the theme “Fear of God foundation for a Prosperous Malawi”.

The Malawi leader asked Malawians to be responsible because having a sense of duty is the foundation of nation building.

“Remember our sense of duty, let us be a nation with trusted people, sometimes we are attempted to fear the evil  but God has given us power of hope and power  to choose what is right,” Mutharika said.

Mutharika also quoted the Holy Scriptures on 2 Timothy 1:7 which says “for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

He claimed that he has suffered public humiliation a lot but he said he is not fearful and he only focuses on the goals of the people he serves.

In his preaching from the book of 2 chronicles 32:17-21, Apostle Stanley Ndovie of Living Waters Church said Malawi need to unite together as a nation and nothing should divide us.

During the interdenominational night of prayers, different church leaders prayed for some petitions such as government, corruption, and economy.

    1. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of the wisdom. Yes lets acknowledge his presence and his Love and care upon us for he is only the one in heaven.
      Indeed a lot of thanks are due to the president of Malawi for his acknowledgement towards our Father that in heaven. I salute you and give you a respect because it’s not easy on being President to know and believe that there is God in Heaven because most of the African Leaders don’t think and obey even acknowledge that there is Almighty Father in heaven. Long live Peter , long live Malawi.
