Malawian urban musician stitch Fray and Sir Patricks say they are set to drop their first singles of 2016 this week.
The two are both members of the Blantyre based music family called Trap Squad which also includes Chavula, Revolver, and Juda Gaga.
Speaking on behalf of the two, Stitch Fray, who is a reggae dance hall artist as well as producer and mixing engineer at D and T Records, said the songs are ready and they will be released this week.
Stitch Fray whose real name is Steven Chibwazi, said his song is titled “Iwe ndi ine” and he produced it at his own studio, D and T Records in Chilobwe. According to Stitch Fray, Sir Patricks’ song “Mmene Ndimamvera” was recorded by Tricky Beats of Pro Pee Records in Chirimba Township in Blantyre.
The two artists also revealed that they will release their albums before the end of the year.
Stitch Fray’s album is titled “From Richer than Gold” while Sir Patricks called his album “Broken Radio”.
