Following the completion of the project of improving Malawi’s commercial city, Blantyre roads phase 3 road users in Limbe will now forget traffic problems.
According to a Blantyre City Council statement signed by acting Chief executive officer Dr Alfred Chanza, the road construction came to its completion on Wednesday this week.
In the statement, BCC says traffic flow will now revert to normal on Livingstone Avenue and Churchill road in Limbe.
“For instance traffic from Illovo to Blantyre roundabout is using the Livingstone Avenue only and those going towards Illovo are using Churchill road only” reads part of the statement.
This shows that Livingstone and Churchill road are using one way traffic arrangement as before. Meanwhile Blantyre city council appreciates the general public for the patience and cooperation they have shown during the implementation of the project.
Therefore BCC further appeals to the general public to avoid vandalism of road facilities and should report them nearest police station if they find anyone committing the act.
