The transfer market in Malawi is open and teams are busy recruiting new troops ahead of the 2016 soccer season.

Mighty Wanderers were the first club to bring on board new players when they signed Rafiq Namwera and Ernest Tambe from Fisd Wizards for an undisclosed fee.

Two days later, Silver Strikers also  invaded Wizards by signing goalkeeper Brighton Munthali and Levison Maganizo for an undisclosed fee.

The Central Bankers’ rebuilding exercise took another centre stage when they roped in two Nsundwe United players: Last season’s Chipiku Central Region Football League top goal scorer with 40 goals Clement Trota together with defender Herbert Wayekha joined the Bankers after impressing during their trials.

Super League champions Big Bullets have reportedly opened talks with the Standard Bank champions Civo Service United over the availability of trio Emmanuel Zoya, John Lanjesi, and Nelson  Kangunje.

Reports reaching Malawi24 indicate that the discussions are not yet over, with Civo reluctant to lose their assets before the start of the new  season.

However, Bullets are optimistic of luring the trio to Blantyre with the aim of defending their  league status.   Bullets recently secured a K0.5 billion sponsorship deal  (K100 million per season) with Nyasa  Manufacturing company limited.

Meanwhile, Carlsberg Cup Champions Wanderers have vowed to continue splashing cash despite having the biggest squad in the top flight. The Nomads are believed to be interested in  bringing on board a new striker and two  defenders before the start of the new season.
