At least 19 people are expected to start appearing before Ntchisi First Grade Magistrate’s Court following their arrests during a sweeping exercise police conducted during the night of Wednesday this week.
The sweeping exercise led by Malawi Police in Ntchisi operations officer Inspector Keston Madela was conducted at Ntchisi Trading Centre.
Following the sweeping exercise, 19 people were arrested during the exercise after being found at the trading centre on the same night and have been charged with the offence of rogue and vagabond.
The suspects have already been questioned by police and are expected to appear before court soon.
