Two sex workers aged 22 and 19 have been arrested in Ntchisi for injuring fellow sex workers who allegedly wanted to steal the duo’s clients.
Ntchisi Police Spokesperson Yohane Tasowana has identified the two as Anastanzia Banda, 22 and Jannet Banda, 19.
According to Tasowana, the two girls hooked clients elsewhere and agreed to go to their rooms.
However, on their way, they bumped into another group of sex workers who wanted to take the clients first, arguing that they are the citizens of the bars within Ntchisi Boma.
This led to an argument and the two sex workers allegedly attacked their colleagues using beer bottles. Tasowana said three sex workers got injured during the fight.
The arrested duo hail from Maunde Village in T/A Tambala’s area in Dedza District.
